Kam Air starts daily Kabul–Islamabad flights from 1 November

Afghan airline Kam Air has started flying between Kabul and Islamabad every day, with the new daily service beginning on Sunday, 1 November. The flights run in both directions, giving passengers a direct link between the two capitals seven days a week.

Kam Air announced the change on its website, saying the daily flights would “further strengthen air connectivity between Afghanistan and Pakistan”. The airline has advised travellers to book seats in advance through its website, kamair.com.

The hop between the two cities is a short one — the flight takes about an hour each way. Kam Air flies the route with Boeing 737 aircraft, according to flight listings.

Why it matters

For families, students, traders and patients, a daily flight makes planning far easier than a service that runs only on some days of the week. Regular air links also matter for business between the two neighbours, and for the many Afghans and Pakistanis with family on the other side of the border.

What happens next

Passengers can now book a Kabul–Islamabad flight on any day of the week, and Kam Air says schedules and bookings are available on its website. Travellers should still check the latest timings and seat availability before travelling, as times can change.
