Emirates puts its newest A350 on Dubai–Mauritius flights from 1 November

Emirates begins flying its newest aircraft, the Airbus A350, between Dubai and Mauritius from Sunday, 1 November 2026, replacing the Boeing 777 on its daily service.

The A350 will operate flights EK709 and EK710 every day. EK709 leaves Dubai at 07:55 and lands in Mauritius at 14:40, while EK710 leaves Mauritius at 18:30 and arrives in Dubai at 01:10 the next day. All times are local.

The aircraft has 298 seats across three cabins: 32 in Business Class, 28 in Premium Economy and 238 in Economy. Emirates says the A350 brings its latest Business Class to the route, with fully flat seats and direct aisle access for every passenger, while Premium Economy continues on the service.

The change does not add extra flights. Emirates still runs three daily services between Dubai and Mauritius: the A350 on EK709 and EK710, plus two Airbus A380 flights. That adds up to 21 flights a week. Passengers travelling beyond Dubai can connect to more than 70 destinations in Europe, Asia and the Americas, Emirates said.

Oomar Ramtoola, Emirates’ Manager for the Indian Ocean Islands, said the A350 was another step in the airline’s investment in Mauritius and would give travellers greater choice and comfort.

Why it matters

For travellers, the main gain is comfort rather than more flights. The A350’s Business Class offers fully flat beds and a private layout, and the aircraft also brings newer screens, charging points and inflight entertainment to the route. In Premium Economy, each 19.5-inch-wide seat offers generous legroom, a footrest and in-seat charging, Emirates said. Travellers who want a particular cabin should check which aircraft is shown for their flight when booking, because the A380 flights have a different cabin layout.

What happens next

The A350 service runs daily from 1 November. Travellers can book through Emirates.com, the Emirates Travel Store at Docks 2, Caudan, or a travel agent, and should confirm the aircraft type shown for their chosen flight before booking.
